Jury Selection Cancelation

Public Notice

The Florida Supreme Court has temporarily suspended jury selection proceedings from Monday, March 16, 2020 through May 29, 2020. If you have been summoned to report for jury duty on Monday March 16, 2020, Monday, March 23, 2020, Monday, March 30, Monday, April 6, or Monday, April 13, you are excused from appearance. Parties to a case should contact their attorney or appear at their next regularly scheduled court event. Please monitor this page and the website for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida (1) for updates.

The Clerk’s Offices will remain open to the public, but we encourage you to utilize our suite of e-services (2). With e-services you may be able to avoid a trip to the Clerk’s office by:

- Paying your traffic tickets and criminal court costs online at (3);

- Searching and downloading most official records online (4);

- Searching and downloading court records online (5);

- Filing court documents online through the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal (6);

- Checking your juror status (7) to verify whether or not you need to report; and

- Postponing your jury service (8) if you are sick;

- Paying your child support or tourist development tax online

While the risk of contracting COVID-19 remains low, the Escambia County Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office continues to monitor and take steps to prevent the spread of the virus. This Office continues to collaborate with our judicial and government partners. We can all take simple steps to protect ourselves and the community.
