The Escambia County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller (Clerk), acting in his capacity as the Chief Financial Officer of Escambia County, Florida (County) is currently seeking proposals from qualified firms interested in providing investment advisory services or a combination of investment advisory and management services for approximately $100 million dollars ($100,000,000) of the County’s investment portfolio.

Escambia County approves new Investment Policy

The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners approved a new Investment Policy on January 21, 2010.

Beginning January 1, 2010, a Civil Cover Sheet must be filed with all new Circuit Civil cases and a Cover Sheet for Family Court Cases must be filed with all new Family Court Cases and with all Motions that Reopen a Family Court Case. Also, beginning January 1, 2010, a Final Disposition Form shall be filed by the prevailing party for all Civil cases. For more information please read Florida Supreme Court Amendments to Florida Rules of Civil Procedure SC08-1141.

TDT Ordinance 2009-33: The effective date to begin collecting the 5% tax is April 1, 2010. Any Tourist Development Tax collected based on rentals prior to April 1, 2010 should be remitted at a 4% rate.

The Escambia County Clerk of the Circuit Court will accept for filing in the court record hand-delivered documents and documents received via U.S. Mail, Fed-Ex, and UPS at our three courthouse locations: the M.C. Blanchard Judicial Center, the Theodore Bruno Juvenile Justice Center, and the Billy G. Ward Century Courthouse. The Clerk will request that non-complying documents be resubmitted.
